Job Description:
As an Associate Lawyer at GNN Advocates, you will play a key role in providing legal counsel, representation, and support to our clients. You will work closely with partners and senior associates on a wide range of legal matters, contributing your expertise and skills to achieve favorable outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Research and Analysis: Conducting in-depth legal research and analysis on complex legal issues, statutes, and case law to provide sound legal advice and strategic guidance to clients.
- Drafting and Reviewing Legal Documents: Drafting and reviewing various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, pleadings, briefs, opinions, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Client Representation: Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings, advocating for their interests and rights with professionalism and diligence.
- Case Management: Managing a caseload of matters efficiently and effectively, including case strategy development, document management, court filings, and deadlines coordination.
- Legal Consultation: Providing timely and practical legal advice to clients on a wide range of legal issues, addressing their concerns, and assisting them in making informed decisions.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborating with the legal team, paralegals, and support staff to deliver comprehensive legal solutions and ensure seamless client service.
- Business Development: Contributing to business development efforts, including client relationship management, networking activities, and participation in firm marketing initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from a recognized institution.
- Admission to the Kenyan Bar as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage complex legal matters
- Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
